WESTconsin Credit Union and ShredAway Hosting Free Document Shredding Services

WESTERN, WI—As part of Cooperative Month in October, WESTconsin Credit Union is offering free, community shred events in the area. Prepare for the new season by taking steps to protect your identity, and securely dispose of sensitive documents at one of the following dates and times:

  • Tuesday, October 13
  • Rice Lake Office I 21 Burton St I 8-9 a.m.
  • Thursday, October 15
  • Chippewa Falls Office I 1680 E Park Avenue I 9-10 a.m.
  • Eau Claire Office | 1111 W Clairemont Avenue | 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
  • Tuesday, October 20
  • Hudson Office | 1601 Maxwell Drive | 8-9 a.m.

Services are free of charge and are being performed by ShredAway. There is a limit of one cubic foot sized box/bag. Contact ShredAway at (715) 835-0811 for additional shredding needs.

WESTconsin Credit Union has been serving members since 1939, and membership is open to anyone who lives or works in the Wisconsin counties of Barron, Buffalo, Burnett, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Jackson, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Rusk, St. Croix, Sawyer, Taylor, Trempealeau, and Washburn, or the Minnesota counties of Anoka, Chisago, Dakota, Goodhue, Hennepin, Isanti, Pine, Ramsey, Scott, Wabasha, and Washington, with a $5 minimum deposit in a Membership Savings Account. Credit unions are financial institutions owned by their accountholders, and member funds are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) up to at least $250,000.
