WESTconsin Credit Union to Host Spring Food Drive

WESTconsin Credit Union to Host Spring Food Drive

WESTconsin Credit Union is calling on the community to support those facing food insecurity by giving to their Spring Food Drive. From Monday, March 2, through Saturday, March 21, all WESTconsin offices will collect non-perishable food items, as well as monetary donations, that can be given in-office or by calling the Service Center at (800) 924-0022.

All donations will go toward filling the shelves of 16 different community partners across the credit union’s service area. Monetary donations are especially powerful, as local food pantries can stretch every dollar donated to provide up to 10 meals, making an even greater impact. Last year’s generosity from members and the community allowed WESTconsin to donate over 1,600 food items and nearly $1,900.

WESTconsin Credit Union has been serving members since 1939, and membership is open to anyone who lives or works in the Wisconsin counties of Barron, Buffalo, Burnett, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Jackson, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Rusk, St. Croix, Sawyer, Taylor, Trempealeau, and Washburn, or the Minnesota counties of Anoka, Chisago, Dakota, Goodhue, Hennepin, Isanti, Pine, Ramsey, Scott, Wabasha, and Washington, with a $5 minimum deposit in a Membership Savings Account. Credit unions are financial institutions owned by their accountholders, and member funds are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) up to at least $250,000.
