The Community Table (TCT) is seeking reliable and mission-driven volunteers to serve as Weekend Food Donation Pick-Up Drivers. This role is essential to ensure donated food reaches our dining room and community members in a timely and organized manner. Drivers serve as ambassadors of TCT while helping us reduce food waste and increase food access in our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick up food donations.
• Load and unload food boxes weighing approximately 5–50 pounds.
• Safely transport donations to TCT.
• Weigh incoming donations according to TCT procedures.
• Sort and properly store food items in designated areas (dry storage, refrigeration, or freezer as applicable).
• Maintain clear communication with TCT staff regarding any issues or changes.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Clean driving record.
• Successful completion of a background check.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.

Schedule: Backup driver for weeks or weekends
